Is the random name picker free?

Yes. The Pedatek Random Name Picker is completely free, needs no account, and shows no ads.

Is the draw actually random?

Yes. Every remaining name has an equal chance of being drawn, and a name that has been picked is removed from the pool so nobody gets chosen twice in a round.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in the browser on a laptop, tablet or classroom display — there is nothing to download.

Can I use it on an interactive whiteboard?

Yes. It is designed for the big screen, and the hands-free gesture control means you can draw a name from across the room.

Will my class list be saved?

Your list stays in your own browser. It is not uploaded to us, and nothing identifies your students.
